Get Ready for the FIRST Christmas Star in 800 YEARS
At the close of 2020…a life-changing year…We are about to see something so rare, it hasn’t happened in 800 years!
A “Christmas Star” is when Jupiter and Saturn will align so closely (and perfectly) that a radiant point of light will be seen! The two planets together will look like a “double planet” and produce a significant amount of light.
These two planets haven’t appeared this close from the earth’s vantage point since the middle ages.
To see this similar night sky, you would have to go back to March 4, 1226!
When to see the “star”
You can observe the star on any position of the earth (depending on clear skies) but our best chance to see the “star” will be December 21st.
You won’t have to stay up all night waiting to see this rare phenomenon. Depending on where you are, you should be able to see the “star” 45 minutes after the sun sets.
The end of 2020
The year 2020 has been life-changing and unprecentanted in so many ways. As we are closing on the final weeks of 2020, let us look at this special night sky as a reminder of hope from heaven.
Remember to take your children outside for this historical event. Children can document the event in their nature journals this year. (WINTER JOURNAL HERE)
